Sam and Addy have the same ice cream freezer. I tried using it to make ice cream once, using the recipe, and nothing much happened. It's a good prop for a photo but would be frustrating if a child really expected to use it for making ice cream. And after all the work, you would get less than a tablespoon of ice cream anyway.
